Vivid Life grew out of a very free and intuitive painting process. Colour was allowed to simply happen — spontaneously, directly, and without the need for everything to have its fixed place from the beginning.

Bright pink, turquoise, orange and neon yellow meet deeper, quieter layers. Colours merge, drip, overlap and reappear elsewhere. This interplay is what gives the work its distinctive energy.

For me, Vivid Life is about vitality and the many intense facets of life. It reflects those moments when we let go of control and follow feeling instead. The painting is bold and immediate, yet full of smaller layers and details that reveal themselves gradually.
